Danvers, Gardner and Woburn
Architect: Caveney Architectural Collaborative
2,000-4,000 SF

Vantage Builders completed three cannabis dispensary facilities for Sanctuary Medicinals. The high-end dispensaries are located in Danvers, Gardner and Woburn. All three dispensaries will offer medical cannabis products, with adult-use cannabis also available in Gardner.

The locations have a distinct style, featuring wood walls, specialty ceilings and faux wood beams that create a comfortable yet professional atmosphere. Ample lighting keeps the locations bright and welcoming. Each location has a secure reception area where patients and customers check in, with point of sales and product displays.

Separate customer consultation areas allow for discussions in a quieter setting. Security is of paramount importance to Sanctuary Medicinals. All areas are constantly monitored by cameras and certain sections can only be accessed by employees via security card scanners.

The Danvers and Gardner dispensaries are approximately 2,000 square feet, while the flagship facility in Woburn is double the size at 4,000 square feet. Vantage Builders was chosen for the dispensary projects after completing Sanctuary Medicinals’ state-of-the-art cannabis cultivation facility in Littleton, Mass. The 36,000-square-foot facility has eight grow rooms and facilities for producing cannabis edibles and oils.

Vantage Builders followed designs by Caveney Architectural Collaborative in each project. The project team also included site engineering services from Places Associates, Inc.

Right from the beginning of the project, Vantage Builders stood out from the rest. During the bid phase, the level of involvement and attention to detail that Vantage brought to the table was noted. From the start, Ed Silva gave our team a comfort level that not only did he know what we were looking for, but that from the top down everyone at Vantage Builders knew as well. It was refreshing to see the owner of the company playing such a large role and having such a positive presence on this project. It was this involvement that allowed the project to move quickly and stay under budget. Robert DiFazio, President Critical Solutions Group
